What is Anti-Thief?
Anti-Thief? is a Symbian Signed software to protect mobile phones from being lost or stolen and to increase the possibility of getting a lost or stolen mobile phone back to the owner.

How Anti-Thief Works:
Anti-Thief senses the theft of mobile phone when:
1- SIM card changes without prior permission been given from the owner.
2- A specific SMS (that Anti-Thief recognizes) is received by the stolen mobile phone.
In case of any of the above happens; Anti-Thief will instantly start attacking the thief and communicating with the owner in different ways as mentioned below:
1- Anti-Thief will block the phone completely so that the phone is no longer functioning and no longer responding to user inputs.
2- Black screen will be always shown on the phone screen with ?LOST OR STOLEN? label along with some information that had been provided by the owner (e.g. owner?''s contact information for anyone meaning to give the phone back).
3- Strong loud siren will be continuously on (too much disturbance for the thief and alerting people in the vicinity).
4- SMS containing network information (Network name, Cell Id? etc.) will be sent in case of any network information change to a list of mobile phones predefined to Anti-Thief by the owner; this will also contain the new SIM card number (in case the thief has changed the original SIM) which allows the user to continuously keep track of the thief.
5- Anti-Thief will capture a photo of the thief and send it as an MMS to the same list of mobile phones (this operation can also be repeated whenever the owner wants through a simple SMS which tells Anti-Thief to capture photo and send).
6- The owner can at any given time call the stolen mobile phone; Anti-Thief will automatically answer the call and activating the loud speaker without any notification been given to the thief and without phone ringing which allows the owner to spy on or freely speak to the thief.
7- The owner can at any given time retrieve any contact information from the phone through a simple SMS that tells Anti-Thief to send the contact information from phone contacts to the owner in a simple SMS as a reply (SMS should be in the format of ?contact=contact title as it appears in contacts list? without the quotas for example contact=John Smith).
It is not possible to restore factory settings (format) the phone when Anti-Thief is on an active attack state as Anti-Thief completely locks the phone which makes it completely not responding to user inputs (all keys are inactive).
